Firstly, I have a list of the ingredients to prepare turkey meatballs presented below.

Ingredients for Tasty 20-24 Turkey Meatballs:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean for the best meatball texture)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt (adjustment as per your taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes for heat (optional ingredient)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce for depth (optional ingredient)

Now let me discuss:

Steps to Make Turkey Meatballs with Cuisinart’s Food Processor:

The following are the steps that you should follow to prepare turkey meatballs with Cuisinart’s food processor:

Step 1: Preparation of the Aromatics:

Add the onion and garlic cloves in Cuisinart’s food processor (FP-9CF). And pulse these ingredients 3-4 times until these are completely minced.

Afterwards, add the parsley inside the appliance and pulse one or two times to combine the ingredients.

Also, do not overprocess the ingredients so that you can avoid a watery mixture.

Step 2: Mixing of the Meatball Ingredients:

Now transfer the minced material to a large bowl. Add some salt, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and pepper inside the bowl and mix the ingredients lightly.

Then, add the egg and ground turkey inside the mixture.

You can use the food processor to make the mixture smooth. For this, pulse the mixture 2-3 times with the processor briefly. However, you should be careful too. Don’t overmix the mixture with the processor. Otherwise, the meatballs would become tough.

Well, alternatively, you can mix the mixture by hand for a coarse texture of meatballs.

Step 3: Shaping of the Meatballs:

Roll the mixture into 1.5 inch balls with your hands or a cookie scoop. In case of using the hands, you should wet them first to avoid the material’s sticking with your hands. Then comes an optional sub-step. For firmer meatballs, you should refrigerate them for 15-30 minutes before cooking.

Step 4: Cooking of the Meatballs:

You can air-fry, bake, or pan-fry these meatballs.

Pan-Frying Method (Best for Crispy Exterior):

Firstly, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Now cook your meatballs in batches for 3-4 minutes per side in the pan until these become golden brown and entirely cooked.

Baking Method (Easiest for Large Batches):

Preheat the oven to 400 degree F or 200 degree C. Then, place the meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Afterwards, bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes and flip the balls halfway.

Air Fryer Option:

With the air fryer option, cook the raw meatballs at 375 degree F (190 degree C) for 10-12 minutes and flip them halfway.

Hmm, you might be thinking:

What to Serve with Turkey Meatballs for One’s Family/Friends?

There are three options for that. Yes, you can serve these meatballs with classic spaghetti & marinara sauce, toasted bun & melted mozzarella, or toothpicks & a dipping sauce (marinara, BBQ sauce, or tzatziki). Choose the option that you like the most.
