Review of Hamilton Beach® Big Mouth® Duo 12 Cup Food Processor:

The following are the points that I got after reviewing black Hamilton Beach® Big Mouth® Duo 12 Cup Food Processor (70580) online:

A Sample Image for a Food Processor

Two Bowls in One Appliance:

The processor is suitable for small as well as large meal preparation. With this processor, you can easily process your ingredients (e.g., onions, apples, walnuts) in a large quantity at one time as the appliance has a 12 cup large bowl.

Then, with its 4 cup small processing bowl, you can process the ingredients for a meal meant for a few guests. And you can also use the small bowl to process various food ingredients for your meal.

Besides, the bowls can be assembled together for their compact storage inside the food processor. So you won’t have to store them separately inside your kitchen.

Pre-Cutting, Not Required Much:

Well, with Hamilton Beach food processor, you can avoid the pre-cutting step for most foods. As its Big Mouth® feed chute is wide enough to let most of the foods pass through into the processor, you won’t have to pre-cut the ingredients before adding them into the appliance. Isn’t that great!

Multiple Processing Options:

Hmm, with this processor, a person can easily chop, puree, mix, shred, slice, and chop their ingredients. The processor comes with an S-shaped blade and a reversible slicing/shredding disc.

You have to apply the blade for chopping various food ingredients like onions, carrots, and parsley. Then, for example, you can easily shred some cheese and slice your cucumbers with the shredding/slicing disc. You can also use the option, pulse, for controlling the textures of your processed food material with short quick bursts of processing.

Powerful Motor:

The 500 watt motor of the processor is powerful enough to process tough ingredients like raw carrots, hard cheese, and cooked as well as raw meat. Regarding the processing of meat, I have to mention that various customers mentioned online that the appliance can process small meat segments effectively. So you have to precut your meat (whether cooked or raw meat) first into small segments to effectively process it through the processor.

Dishwasher-Safe Product:

Besides, the processor is dishwasher-safe. This means that the appliance’s bowls, lid, and all attachments can be cleaned with a dishwasher after each use. Then, the touchpad is easy to clean with a damp cloth. And all food zones of the processor are BPA-free (Bisphenol A-free) or safe for human use.

However, some important points should be kept in mind regarding the use of a dishwasher for this processor. You would have to wash the processor’s removable parts with the dishwasher’s top rack. Because the bottom rack’s intense heat isn’t suitable for the durability of these parts. Then, the motor base section can only be manually cleaned through its wiping with a damp cloth. Yes, you cannot clean it with a dishwasher.

One more point. I personally recommend hand washing as a preferred cleaning option to keep the appliance in good condition and prolong its lifespan under normal use.

Simple Cord Storage:

Also, the cord of the processor is stored easily underneath the appliance motor base when the processor is not in use. This reduces the space covered by the processor on the countertop and makes the countertop appear tidy to a viewer.

Two Speeds and One Pulse Option:

With the high and low speed options, you can have the processing results as per your choice. You can get the desired texture of your ingredients after processing with the processor’s speed options. Then, there is also a pulse option that a user can use to have quick short bursts of processing to have the perfectly processed material as per their requirement.

Other Benefits:

  • The processor comes with a one-year warranty for all users in America. Therefore, a user can have a risk-free investment and return the product if dissatisfied or make their issue resolved with the company’s support system timely. For other countries, the users should refer to their product manual for warranty details.
  • Plus, the product is highly durable for being made of standard materials like BPA-free plastic bowl and stainless steel blades. These materials make the product durable enough for its long-term use. This means that the product can be used for a long duration under normal use for being made of high-quality materials.
  • Then, the product is moderately lightweight for weighing 8.3 pounds. This means that the processor is portable and can be shifted from one site to another in the kitchen with ease. Isn’t that nice!

Cons of the Appliance:

During my research, I noticed some cons of the food processor online. These cons are:

  • Well, when I checked the processor height, I found that its height is 14.7 inches. That means your cabinet should be tall for the product adjustment. And the cabinet should have sufficient vertical clearance space to move the appliance inside and outside the cabinet with ease.
  • Then, there is no specific dough blade for making doughs. This limits the quality of doughs that you can have with the processor.
  • Besides, you cannot adjust the thickness of the slicing/shredding disc to slice or shred food ingredients with the desired thickness.

Conclusion:

So that is all what I have to share with you regarding the review of Hamilton Beach® Big Mouth® Duo 12 Cup Food Processor. I hope you like my blog post.
